Ingredients

  • 2 kg red meat (roo, lamb or beef)
  • 1 to 1.5 kg chicken pet meat (with crushed bone)
  • 0.25 kg grains and veggies

Grains and Veggies

  • Mix 3 to 5 of these per mix
  • Rolled oats ( ½ of grain mix at least )
  • Peas
  • Potato
  • Sweet potato
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Beans
  • Corn
  • Pumpkin etc.

Preparation

  1. Heat water
  2. Add a pinch of garlic (just a pinch!)
  3. Add grains
  4. Turn off heat when grains are cooked
  5. Add grated veggies and mix together
  6. Leave mix to cool
  7. Add raw meat and mix together
  8. Put into containers and freeze

Defrost as needed.

Include garlic in most, but not all mixes. Make sure garlic is not too strong as if it is, the cat may not want to eat it. Garlic is a natural dewormer and defleaer.

Mix veggies as suitable; you only need a few items at a time. Alternate with mixes.

If there is no chicken with crushed bone in the mix, replace with calcium syrup or there will be a calcium deficiency.

And ALWAYS keep fresh water available and separated from the food. Lightly flowing water is the best.

Vitamins and Supplements

Use 3 to 4 of each supplement per mix, alternating with each new mix. Tablets all require crushing and mixing evenly throughout the mix. The first three supplements are the most important.

  • Spirulina or wheatgrass or cat multivitamin
  • Vitamin C tablets (unflavoured)
  • Flaxseed oil or Omegablend oil
(the oil should contain all three omega oils – 3, 6 and 9)
  • Brewers yeast
  • Echinacea tablets (every second or third mix)

DO NOT use - cabbage, letuce, rhubarb, onion, brussel sprouts
This can lead to bloating and potential digestive and  health problems.
